The next day we travelled to Gulmarg via Tangmarg where I rented a overcoat and boots suitable for the snow. We had to travel in Gulmarg by sledges as it was filled with snow.
On the way we stopped at various spots to play with snow. I was joined by other tourists and the travel guide from Enjoy Unlimited.
I had a good time with the other tourists who were from AndhraPradesh. If I remember their names they were Mr. Rao and Mr. and Mrs.Prasad and their daughter. We threw snow on each other and had a great time. We could see a Shiva temple from far but could not visit as it was closed.
We were surrounded by snow clad Himalayan ranges. We went for the Gondola Ride.
It costed us Rs. 600 for the Phase 1 and could not go to Phase 2 as it was closed. We were extremely lucky to see snowfall while waiting to get into the Gondola.
It is a cable car on a rope that took us to the top of the mountain.
After getting down from the Gondola, we walked on snow with the help of the guide.
We were slipping and falling down as it was very slippery.
It was no joke to walk in the snow. This is where we saw a Sulphur spring and then we had our lunch at a dabha there.
I ate Kashmiri Palav and drank Kashmiri Khawa. We returned by Gondola where we had left our sledge.
It was a thrilling experience to view the snow clad mountains and was quite cold. We returned back to the taxi and came to Tangmarg returned the overcoat and boots and returned to Srinagar.
