It was going to be a long drive from Pahalgham to Katra, almost an entire day. We left at 10:00AM and reached Katra Vaishno Devi Hotel by 5:20PM.
At Pahalgham, I visited a Shiv temple and on the way I stopped at a beautiful roadside falls where the scenery was beautiful.
On the way back, we viewed mountain fires. We passed by a number of Kashmiri towns and villages such as AnanthNag.
That was a great experience. We had to travel along Jammu National highway that is a mountaineous region, throughout there was the Indian Army guarding the place.
Here we passed places such as Rampur, Ramsoo, Ramban, Patnitop, Quazigund.
I waved and saluted to the Armymen throughout the journey.
At Quazigund, there was a 5 km tunnel road. The view throughout was beautiful and for most of the journey there was no snow. Finally, in the evening we reached Katra.
